Mr. Gorman provided the Clackamas River Basin Council and Clackamas County’s Water Environment Services hydraulic engineering, permitting, and final design services to restore approximately 2,200 feet of Rock Creek from its confluence with the Clackamas River, including a portion of Trillium Creek at its confluence with Rock Creek. Preservation and enhancement of this site has provided a refuge for sensitive salmonid species with a restored stream morphology that provides a variety of instream habitat types including riffles, pools, side channels, and bars.  Implemented project goals include increasing the amount of LWD; increasing the frequency, depth and quality of pools; improving stream resiliency to flood events; reducing landslides triggered by stormwater discharges; increasing riparian habitat diversity and stream cover; decreasing cover of non-native invasive plant species; and reducing erosion in the riparian zone. Mr. Gorman provided construction oversight of project implementation.
