The Wapato Access Feasibility study was designed and managed by Mr. Gorman to determine the general feasibility of ecologically restoring a 156-acre site along Multnomah Channel to provide rearing habitat for juvenile salmonids. The study included a vegetation survey of the site, creation of a synthetic long term river stage record using short term site specific stage data extrapolated with long term Columbia River data, conceptual design of a dike breach, calculation of acre-days of habitat that would be restored during juvenile out migration periods, and construction cost estimation.
