Mr. Gorman conducted an evaluation of the potential hydrologic impacts of the proposed Sea-To-Sky Highway Improvement Project in the Horseshoe Bay to Sunset Beach section through West Vancouver. The focus of the analysis was to assess the magnitude and type of hydrologic impacts of a new two-lane highway on the relatively undisturbed upper Larsen Creek watershed and a high-ecological-quality wetland within the watershed. The impacts evaluated included increased peak flows, decreased infiltration and groundwater recharge, and decreased water quality.
