Mr. Gorman was responsible for overall project management, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, hydraulic design of stream channel and flood storage, design of water quality facilities, grading design for wetland enhancement, preparation of design memorandums, and production of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for the Brookside Wetland and Stream Enhancement project. The project met the multi-objective goals for the 20-acre site along Johnson Creek, including the creation of 60-acre feet of flood storage, 2000 feet of stream channel restoration, stream bank stabilization, provision of water quality enhancement facilities for Johnson Creek and neighboring residential areas stormwater runoff, wetland enhancement, passive recreation creation, fish and wildlife habitat enhancement, education, and extensive public involvement.
